This Time Next Week!

In a weeks time we will be launching "CHILLI", our new Youth Group with a BBQ on Southsea Common.

I hope this little picky gets you in the mood for a BBQ. A number of invites have gone out, some to our existing Youth, some to the Kings Kids lot who will soon be joining us, also others have been given out to Joshuas school mates, about 5 should be coming.

I will be putting up a Volley Ball net on the launch (always a good laugh) if any of you can think of other stuff to play let me know?

Lets Hope it is a nice Sunny evening and all that come will enjoy it.

I will catch up with you all on Sunday.

Mystery Tour

Yes this Saturday we shall be undertaking a grand mystery tour on the minibus, accompanied by a quiz for the journey where prizes will be awarded to the winners! (and the quiz may even include some clues that point to where we are going). The journey begins at 7:30 outside the church, and to give you a taster of the quiz and to help begin racking up your points tally for the prize, here are a couple of questions:
  • What type of 'bug' was supposed to stop all computers working in the year 2000?
  • How many people live on the Isle of Wight?
  • Does Malc prefer tea, coffee or hot chocolate?

Feel free to add any comments below about speculation as to where we will end up, the answers to the quiz or anything at all. See you Saturday

Lets Have a Discussion

Ok - Since this hasnt been used for a while - thought I would create a post.

Hows this for a topic started -

A man asks the question - "God can do anything, can't he?"
All Christians would reply with "YES"
Ok......
The man then asks - "If God can do anything, can he create a rock thats so big, that he cant lift it?"

Thoughts? Lets see what pple hav to say. I think it is an awesome question to answer. I want to see what other ppl think

Rachel and Elisabeth in Uganda

Hello to both of you, you have been in Uganda now for 3 weeks, it seems a lot longer than that to me.
Life back in wet, cold and windy Cowplain is starting to pick up a bit of momentum now that Christmas is over.
What is the weather like where you are?
I was shocked to here that you will be starting work as early as 7am. I find it hard to believe that they can make you get up so early!!!!:)
Apologies if the Blog has not been updated by myself for a while, but its address is now in the Church Directory I will be updating it more often, cause you never know who might be looking on it for up to the minute info and facts.
I trust you are both having your minimum of 15 laughs and 3 belly laughs a day! ( Prov. 15 v 13 ). Take care.

After Church

I was just wondering what the future of After Church is going to be. I know its a much discussed topic and was due to be reviewed in the New Year as it was only a trial anyway. Have any conclusions been made or alternatives suggested to provide something for the people that come along on a Saturday with some Biblical input?
